MY EVERYDAY ENGLISH BOOKLET

Hi friends... Do you still remember

that I shared in 2017?

Based on the template, I have come out with the booklet for the students to write down the words and conversation practise written on that template. This is to keep record and track of what they have learned throughout the year.

READ IT! TYPE IT! WRITE IT! (DAYS OF THE WEEK & MONTHS IN A YEAR)

I purposely made the keyboards in various colours so that you guys can print those out based on your students' favourite colour(s).

You may also use other flashcards available on my website as the "screens" so that the students can read ,type and write the written word on the flashcard.

Print those flashcards in small size to save papers and ink.

ROLL AND WRITE BOARD GAME (YEAR 1 UNIT 20- GOOD HABITS)

THINGS NEEDED

DICE
COUNTERS
ROLL AND WRITE BOARD
AI & EE CHART
WRITING TABLE

HOW TO PLAY

EACH GROUP WILL BE GIVEN A ROLL & WRITE BOARD AND A CHART FOR AI & EE WORDS.
EACH PLAYER WILL BE GIVEN A WRITING TABLE AND A COUNTER.
EACH PLAYER PUTS THEIR COUNTER ON THE SPACE THAT SAYS "START".
TAKE IT IN TURNS TO ROLL THE DICE. THE PARTICULAR PLAYER WILL MOVE THE COUNTER FORWARD THE NUMBER OF SPACES SHOWN ON THE DICE.
THE PLAYER WILL WRITE THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THE WORD ON THE PICTURE HE/SHE HAS LANDED IN THE WRITING TABLE PROVIDED.
OTHER PLAYER WILL THEN CHECK THE SPELLING BY REFERRING TO THE AI & EE CHART PROVIDED. (MAKE SURE THE CHART IS PLACED UPSIDE DOWN ONCE THE GAME STARTED)
10 MARKS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EACH CORRECT SPELLING.
PLAYER WITH THE MOST MARKS WILL BE THE WINNER.

WORDS PIZZA YEAR 1 UNIT 18 - SPEND SMARTLY

SUGGESTED ACTIVITY

WORDS PIZZA

Skills: Writing

Presentation stage

Teacher introduces the sh sound, the related gesture and the example of words.

Practice stage

- Teacher places picture cards around the class.

- Teacher distributes the words pizza template to the students

- Students roam around the class and search for the correct word and write it down in the provided space.

Production stage

-Then in group, use one of the group members words pizza as wheel. Use fidget spinner as the spinner of the wheel.

- each group members will take turn to spin the fidget spinner and write down the words in their writing book.

- they are not allowed to look at the words pizza anymore when they want to write the word in their writing book. Those who are able to write the word correctly will be given 10 marks.
