YEAR 2 UNIT 9 STATION BASED ACTIVITY (WHERE'S & WHERE ARE)


Teacher sets stations. ( I assigned 6 stations, supposedly it should be 7 stations but since the table arrangements suit for  only 6 stations,  I decided to do 6 stations)

Each station will be given 2/3 conversation cards.

Students will move to different stations in their group within the stipulated time.

Students write the conversation together with the answer ( Where's / Where are). When teacher says "Stop", students will need to move to the next station.







After they have visited all stations, students sit with their group members and discuss the answer. Students tick the correct answer and corrected the wrong answer.

COOTIE CATCHER SPELLING ACTIVITY YEAR 2 UNIT 9 : AT THE BEACH

 Students make their cootie catcher.


 Students play cootie catcher spelling game with their partner.

They will take turn to ask their partner's favourite colour and the picture they want to choose while moving the cootie catcher.

The partners will write the correct words based on the picture they chose.

 They will check the spelling together.

PICK & WRITE CARD GAME : IT'S & THEY'RE (YEAR 2 UNIT 9)


* Materials are included at the end of this post.

Students recall their previous knowledge on how to use "It's" & "They're" in sentences.

Students sit in groups.

Teacher distributes the PICK & WRITE CARD GAME SET which consists of the CARDS, ANSWER FORM(for each member) & an answer sheet.

Students will take turn to pick a card and read the conversation/dialogue stated on the card to other members.

Other members will listen and write the correct answer (It's or They're) in the answer form. (If the card number is "2", the answer will need to be written in no. 2 row)

Then, one of them will check the answer in the given answer sheet.(If the card number is 2, the answer will be in no 2 column in the answer sheet)

10 marks for each correct answer.

ROLL & WRITE BOARD GAME (VEGETABLES) YEAR 1 UNIT 4


Students sit in groups.
Students will take turn to roll the dice and move the token.

They will then spell and write the vegetable where their taken landed in the given form.

Other group members will check the spelling by referring to the answer sheet.

Each correct answer will be given 10 marks.
