YEAR 2 (2019) : UNIT 9 - MALAYSIA MAP : LISTEN & COLOUR (NON TEXTBOOK BASED LESSON)


This lesson is the continuance of the

Pre Lesson
- Students recall the previous lesson by talking about the states in Malaysia that they can remember.

Lesson Development
- Teacher distributes  the worksheets to the students.
-Students listen to the instruction given by the teacher and colour the Malaysia map accordingly.

Post Lesson
-Students talk about the map they have coloured to their partner.

YEAR 2 (2019) : UNIT 9 - MALAYSIA MAP 3X3 POSTER (NON TEXTBOOK BASED LESSON)


Localising the textbook context.
The actual context is on the other parts of the world but I decided to introduce the Malaysia map as well. This will ensure that the students are not only equipped with input outside of Malaysia but also the ones related to our own country.



Pre Lesson
- Students talk about the states in Malaysia that they know.

Lesson Development
-Students sit in their group.
-Teacher distributes one or two parts of the poster for each group.
- Students colour the parts of poster given to their group.

-Teacher assembles the poster parts and paste them on the classroom wall.

Post Lesson
-Students label the  Malaysia map in the given worksheet (individual work) by referring to the poster.

YEAR 1 (2019) : UNIT 4 VEGETABLES MINI BOOK

Pre Lesson
- Students talk about their favourite vegetables.

Lesson Development
- Students identify the vegetables in the flash cards.
- Students read the words.
- Students are given the mini book template.
- Students listen to the instructions given by the teacher on how to fold the mini book template.

Post Lesson
- Students go around the classroom, searching for the vegetables flashcards and write the name of the vegetables in their mini book.
- Students colour and decorate their mini books.
- Students spell and read the vegetables with their partner.
